Decent value, quick delivery

I purchased the Product Design & Manufacturing Collection. The price was competitive, especially with the 3-year subscription discount. Delivery of the licenses was digital and fast, which was convenient. My only minor gripe was that the website could be a bit clearer on the exact differences between some of the bundle options before checkout. Otherwise, a positive experience and the software is working well.

Absolutely love my new Maya!

Oh my goodness, I finally got Maya! I've been wanting this software forever and the current offer made it possible. It was so easy to buy and get set up. I'm already diving into new projects and the tools are fantastic. I'm definitely going to shop here again for future upgrades, and I've already told my colleagues about the great experience!

Smooth AutoCAD LT purchase

Ordered AutoCAD LT. The ordering process was straightforward on their site. Received the license key and download instructions within an hour via email. Installation was quick, no issues there. I contacted support once about a compatibility question for my older OS, and they responded within 24 hours with a helpful answer. The software itself works as expected. A solid experience overall.

Good deal on Fusion 360

I was looking for some CAD software and found Fusion 360 on their site. The 1-year subscription discount made it a good value. I felt like I got a fair price for what I needed, which is important for my budget.

Anyone know if I can stack the 3-year subscription discount with a Black Friday deal? Or is it usually one or the other?

D Dan Okafor 3 months ago
From what I've seen, it's usually one or the other. They tend to have site-wide deals or the multi-year discount, but not both at the same time. Not really coupon-friendly there.

Nah, pretty sure they don't let you combine stuff like that. They usually just have the bigger discount applied automatically during those sales, like Black Friday.

What's the deal with payment methods? Can I use something like PayPal or is it just credit card direct?

B Brett Z. 2 months ago
I think they take most major credit cards. Not sure about PayPal off the top of my head for direct subscriptions, but sometimes they offer it for one-off purchases. Check their checkout page, it should list options.

Last time I bought Fusion 360, it was just card. Afaik, PayPal isn't a standard option for subs on their main site.

Hey, thinking about grabbing AutoCAD for a side hustle. Is the student discount legit? I'm enrolled part-time, would that count?

B Brett 3 months ago
Yeah, they usually have student discounts. I think you need to verify your student status, but part-time should be fine as long as you have an official school email or ID.

They do. My buddy got it for Revit last year, just had to send in some proof of enrollment. Saves a bunch if you qualify.

Just started a small workshop and looking at Fusion 360. Is the free version for hobbyists still a thing, or do they crack down on that now?

G Gwen Brooks 2 months ago
Yeah, the free version for hobbyists is still around. You just have to make sure you fit their criteria, like not making more than a certain amount of revenue from your projects. It's pretty good for personal use.

Still available! I use it for personal projects all the time. It has some limitations compared to the paid version, but for hobby stuff, it's usually more than enough.

Trying to decide between Revit and ArchiCAD. Anyone used both extensively and can give some pros/cons, especially for a small architecture firm?

D Derek Okafor 2 months ago
Revit is pretty much the industry standard, especially if you're working with larger teams or need to collaborate with other consultants using Autodesk products. ArchiCAD can be faster for early design stages though, and some people find its interface a bit more intuitive out of the box.

Revit definitely has a steeper learning curve but it's super powerful for documentation and BIM. ArchiCAD might be quicker to get started with for smaller projects, but Revit's integration with other software is a big plus.
